Barhouse Farm
A working farm, a family home, and the home of our gelato hatch & the Milkbot.
Plan Your Visit
All the information on this page relates to the Farm only. For Gloucester Food Dock, see our Food Dock page.
Directions
Barhouse Farm, Elmore, Gloucester, GL2 3NT. From Gloucester, access Elmore via Rea Bridge, Green Farm Estate or Sellars Bridge at the Pilot Pub. Drive into the village, past Elmore Court and the village hall — we are 200 yards on the left after the hall. 8 minutes from junction 12 of the M5.
Parking
The car park is clearly marked on the right-hand side of the road to the farm entrance. Overflow parking is defined during busier months. Please take care crossing the road, especially with young children.
Opening Hours
Our hours vary by season and are advertised on our homepage, Google and social media. As a working farm, please do not enter the farmyard outside opening hours.
What's on Display
Farm life is visible during your visit — calves in the yard and the main milking herd depending on the time of day and year. During the grazing season, cows cross the road for afternoon milking at 15:30 each day. Please don't climb on gates or feed the animals — but take as many photos as you like!
Dogs
We are a family of dog-lovers, but for biosecurity we prefer as few visiting animals as possible. Well-behaved dogs are allowed on a lead, kept away from the farm animals. All waste is the owner's responsibility.
